Where Timely is the stronger choice

Forms that go further. Timely sends consultation forms electronically from Elevate, automatically on Innovate, and through its iOS Consult app. Preen has consultation forms that clients fill in from their booking link.
Text messages included. Every Timely plan includes a monthly SMS allowance: 100, 200 or 350, by plan.
In-person payments. Timely card terminals and Tap to Pay on phones. Preen doesn’t provide a card terminal.
Packages and loyalty. Timely manages stock levels and sells service packages, with loyalty rewards from Elevate. Preen tracks stock on the products you sell, but has no packages or loyalty features.
Phone support. Timely lists direct phone support on its Innovate plan.

Where Preen is different

One price per location, not per seat. Hiring within your band doesn’t raise the bill. Studio is $49 a month, GST included, for up to 5 bookable staff.
Your own Stripe account. Card payments go through your own Stripe account. Preen adds nothing on top of Stripe’s rate. Stripe’s fees apply. See stripe.com/au/pricing.
GST included in the price you see. Built in Australia. Priced in AUD. GST done properly.

A team of four, subscriptions only

With 4 staff on Timely Build: 4 × A$42 = A$168, plus GST: A$184.80 a month at the full price. Preen Studio is A$49 a month including GST, for up to 5 bookable staff. Timely’s promotion lowers its figure for up to 5 months; check its conditions.

This compares subscriptions only. It leaves out card fees, text messages and add-ons on both sides, and Timely’s plan includes features Preen doesn’t have.
